Master Bedroom Renovation
Preliminary Pictures
Under Construction

I did all the measurements, purchased all the hardware and wood, cut and measured all the wood and material (existing curtains and bubble valances) and made the roman shades and cornice boxes myself. I covered the cornice boxes myself as well. I really needed to do this because the sun blares in these windows in the morning.

Here are the curtains and bubble valances. They hung wrong and wouldn't cover the windows for shade.

They were always in the way and collected so much dust!

The wall in the backround is what you are looking at here. I have had the TV for a year and it sat on the dresser and the walls have been white since we bought the house 8 years ago.

This is the fan that used to be in our bedroom.

This corner was dark and cluttered.

I have wanted to cut these big ugly pillars off for 8 years!

I just think they are so much cleaner and I added blackout material for the sun in the morning and to keep the Arizona heat out.

They totally block out the sun and heat.

I have a hard time knowing what time it is in the morning.

Now the TV is on the wall and I love the color of the walls.

I love my new ceiling light fan. The upper area has a nice soft light to turn on at night. I installed it myself with Jim offering support. He is hanyman challenged.

I can open the Roman Shades and blinds and let in light and see the beautiful tree outside the window.

Here is the bed. There were big ugly posts on all four corners and I cut them off and glued on the tops of the pillars..
